Meet Ogechi Mbakwe, MD

Graduating from the University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria with her BSC in Biology, Dr. Mbakwe went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria.

After relocating to the United States, Dr. Mbakwe studied at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and completed her residency in internal medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mbakwe is board certified in internal medicine.

While in the United States, Dr. Mbakwe helped to set up the internal medicine department at Central Washington internal medicine, Yakima, Washington State. She worked as an internal medicine physician at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin, where she taught medical students and medical residents.
